Faculty Qualifications

There are two basic undergraduate level study programs in the Department of Communication Engineering Technology (DCET). As the 2017 year, totally 33 faculty members are working in the DCET, wherein 11 faculties has the Ph.D. degree, 1 distinguished professor of MUST, 17 faculties has M.Sc. degree, 3 training masters and 1 secretary of the department head.
Al the faculties have deal the program activities through dividing into two sections as one is responsible for WCET program and another is responsible for WCET program, respectively.
Each section dealing with the program activities has the following main responsibilities:
  • To provide the service to advice the students: The advisor faculty is appointed for the freshmen students when they are enrolled in the school and he/she helps the students for selecting the classes and participating in public activities.
  • To organize the graduation activity: The one faculty is appointed from each section of the program and he/she helps the graduate students for organizing the graduation activities.
  • To teach the profession in depth courses: The faculty of the program delivers the required knowledge, skills and attitudes to the students through teaching the profession in depth courses.
  • To supervise and organize the project courses: The one faculty is appointed from each section of the program for the practical training and he/she organizes this training contacting with other related organizations. Moreover, the faculties are responsible for teaching and supervising the project courses learned in the 1-3rd terms.
  • To advertise the program and profession, and commend the graduate students for the work place: During the admission, the section of the program advertises the program and profession and also, commends the graduate students for the work place via collaborating with the employers.
According to the MUST rule, the faculty with master degree or higher level of degree has the right to teach in the undergraduate level program. The assignment of all the categories of courses learned in the programs of the DCET is presented in Table 6.1.

Professional fundamental courses 
The faculties of department and other departments (Electronic, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Network and Security will teach these courses. 
Major core courses 
The faculties of department will teach these courses. 
Major in-depth courses 
The faculties of section of the program will teach these courses. The faculties of section of the program will teach these courses. 
Project and practical training courses 
The faculties of section of the program will teach these courses. The faculties of section of the program will teach these courses. 
All the faculties of the department are the full-time faculty. As shown in Table 6.1, since the major core and in-depth courses and project and practical training courses are taught by the faculties of department or section of the program, it enables to promote the performance of learning activity and to acquire the PLOs to the students in adequate level.
Table 6.2 describes the qualifications of faculty members of the WCET program according to the ABET requirement. As with the Table 6.2, all the faculties have the master degree or above higher level of degree and more than 10 faculties and some of faculties are defended their doctoral degree at the MUST and at Russia, Korea and Japan, respectively.
The faculties who has the practical experiences of work in ICT sector of Mongolia and many years’ teaching experiences of own profession are defended their consulting engineer degree, which reflects their professional skills are in the satisfied level.

Эрхэм зорилго:
Өрсөлдөх чадвартай мэргэжилтэн, судлаачдыг бэлтгэх, мэдлэг-инновацид суурилсан "судалгаа-үйлдвэрлэл-үйлчилгээ"-г хөгжүүлэхэд чиглэнэ.

  • Мэргэжлийн өндөр мэдлэг, дадал, чадавхитай, бүтээлч сэтгэлгээтэй мэргэжилтэн, судлаачдыг бэлтгэх;

Эрхэм зорилго:
Мэдээлэл холбооны технологийн өндөр мэдлэг, ур чадвартай мэргэжилтэн, судлаачдыг бэлтгэх, эрдэм шинжилгээ, инновацийн үр дүнг нийгэмд нэвтрүүлэх замаар улс орны тогтвортой хөгжлийг хангахад манлайлан оролцоно.

Холбооны салбарын эрхэм зорилго

Хөгжлийн алсын хараа:
Бид боловсрол, эрдэм шинжилгээ, инновацийн үйл ажиллагаагаар бүс нутгийн түвшинд танигдахыг зорино.
Эрхэм зорилго:
Холбооны салбар нь утасгүй холбоо, цахилгаан холбооны инженер технологийн чиглэлээр амжилттай ажиллах, шинэ систем, бүтээгдэхүүн бий болгох, техник технологийн дэвшлүүдийг нутагшуулах мэдлэг, ур чадвар бүхий төгсөгч, судлаачдыг бэлтгэнэ.
